Hello and welcome to the May edition of Bwletin Y Llychau. 

Urdd National Eisteddfod

May 29th - 3rd June sees the National Eisteddfod in Llandovery, with our very own Talley school choir taking part! I'm sure you will all be wishing them the very best of luck and to enjoy themselves. The village will be taking part in the Decorating the Village Competition for the event and are asking people to volunteer to decorate a street facing window (similar to the advent windows)  Please see Talley Facebook page for details on how to take part.

Talley & Cwmdu Defibrillators

There are three defibrillators in the Parish. 1 - outside Tally School, 2 - on the wall of the toilets opposite Talley Church and 3 - in Cwmdu.  Emily Ashdown has kindly agreed to take on guardianship of the defibrillators and has asked that we are all vigilant in keeping an eye on them to help her. Talley Parish Council are in the process of organising some training on how to use them, more details next month. 

Celebration of Landscape, Community and Biodiversity

To complete the LAND Project the TCAA invites everyone in the village to a summer BBQ on 10th June, keep the date in your diaries, more details in the June Bulletin.

Llansadwrn Plant Fair

Sunday 14th May at Llansadwrn reading room and community playing field there will be a plant fair between 11am - 4pm. Lots of stalls, workshops and much more.

Cwmdu Plant Swap and Boat Race

The Cwmdu plant swap is Sunday 28th May and the annual Boat Race will take place on 29th Bank holiday Monday.

Pop-Up Market - every Sunday, 9.30am - 1.00pm Edwinsford Inn, check facebook page for weather updates.

Mobile Library - every Tuesday, Dyffryn Ig layby 1 - 1.30pm. Abbey 1.30 - 2pm

Jamie's Fish - Jamie's fish van will be stopping at The Smithy around 2.45pm on Wednesdays. If he doesn't visit you already, you will find him there.

Church Tea Room - Open Daily until around 3pm
